Description

The way the flavors blend perfectly in these meatballs is like a symphony on the tongue. But my favorite part is how versatile these little babies are. You can fry ‘em up in a pan, sear ‘em and finish up in the oven, or just go the lazy (my) way and bake these suckers.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Large Egg
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Diced
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Basil
  • ¼ teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
  • ⅛ teaspoons Italian Seasoning
  • 1 dash Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 dash Paprika
  • 1 pound Ground Turkey
  • ¼ cups Whole Wheat Breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
2. Crack the egg into a medium mixing bowl. Whisk with a fork until it is all yellow. Add milk, garlic, salt, pepper, and other seasonings. Mix well.
3. Add the ground turkey, bread crumbs, and Parmesan cheese. Mix until just incorporated. Do NOT overmix.
4. Form the mixture into balls approximately 2 inches round.
5. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown, springy, and cooked through.

My family devoured these! I served them coated in spaghetti sauce for me and one daughter; the rest of my family dipped them in ketchup or ate them plain. I’ll definitely make these again.
