Description

Tuna steaks seared and then bathed in a homemade peanut ginger sauce! Click on the Related Link for original blog post.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Tuna Steaks
  • Salt And Pepper, To Taste
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • _____
  • FOR THE SAUCE:
  • 2 Tablespoons Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter
  • ½ Tablespoons Chopped Fresh Ginger
  • 1 dash Red Pepper Flakes
  • ½ Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • ½ Tablespoons Toasted Sesame Oil
  • ¼ cups Peanut Oil

Preparation

Mix all the sauce ingredients in the blender (the last 8 ingredients). Pulse for a few seconds until smooth. Then set aside.

Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet with a little olive oil over medium high heat.

Sear the tuna steaks for 2 minutes on each side. (Cook an extra minute or two if you don’t like it medium rare.)

Right before pulling the steaks out of the skillet pour the peanut sauce over top. Then serve tuna steaks.
