Description

This dish is total comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Extra Wide Egg Noodles
  • 12 ounces, weight Can Of Tuna (drained)
  • 1 cup Frozen Peas
  • 6 ounces, weight Can Of French's Fried Onions
  • ½ cups Yellow Onion, Minced
  • 1 whole Small Green Onion, Sliced
  • 10-¾ ounces, weight Can Of Cream Of Mushroom Soup
  • ¾ cups Cubed Velveeta, Divided Use
  • ½ cups Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Alpine Touch Seasoning

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees (F) and grease your 9 x 13 inch casserole dish.

Cook the pasta according to package instructions.

Combine the tuna, peas, 1/2 of the can of fried onions, minced onion, green onion, mushroom soup and 1/2 cup of cubed velveeta into the casserole dish. Stir to combine.

Fold in the cooked egg noodles. Pour in the 1/2 cup of milk and add the Alpine Touch seasoning. Stir to combine.

Top the casserole with the other 1/2 of French’s fried onions and the remaining 1/4 cup of small cubed Velveeta.

Place aluminum foil over the dish and bake for 40 minutes. For the last 5 minutes of baking, remove the aluminum foil and allow the cheese and onions to get brown and crunchy.

Remove the pan from the oven and allow it to set for about 5 minutes before serving. Serve it and enjoy!

It’s a season salt that is found in grocery stores in MT. It’s just salt, pepper, onion salt and garlic powder. Here is the link to get some….it makes mashed potatoes really good!
