Description

These turkey burgers are simple, healthy, and flavorful. If you don’t have fresh herbs at home, just substitute the fresh basil and oregano for 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • ½ cups Drained, Canned Diced Tomatoes
  • ¼ cups Freshly Grated Parmesan
  • 2 Tablespoons Chopped Fresh Basil
  • 2 Tablespoons Chopped Fresh Oregano
  • 1 pound Ground Turkey Breast
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 4  Whole Wheat Hamburger Rolls
  • Ketchup, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onions, And Lettuce, To Serve

Preparation

Whisk the egg in a large mixing bowl. Add the garlic, tomatoes, Parmesan, basil, and oregano, and stir well to combine. Add the turkey meat and mix well with your hands. Shape the turkey mixture into 4 equal patties.

Prepare your pan or griddle by preheating over medium-high heat. Mist lightly with olive oil before adding patties. Cook for about 6 minutes per side, or until browned on the outside and no longer pink at all.

Let cooked patties rest on a clean plate or cutting board for about 5 minutes before serving. Serve burgers on whole wheat rolls with ketchup, lettuce, tomato, red onions, and lettuce.
