Description

As an experienced pizza eater, I have deemed this the best pizza I’ve ever tasted. Maybe you should try it!

Ingredients

  • ⅓ whole Batch Of Pizza Dough (I Use Pioneer Woman's Recipe)
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 12 ounces, weight Fresh Mozzarella, Thinly Sliced
  • 1 whole Ripe Tomato, Thinly Sliced
  • 1 stalk Fresh Kale
  • ⅓ cups Crumbled Fromage Du Chevre

Preparation

Preheat oven to 500 degrees F.

Roll out 1/3 of the pizza dough as thinly as possible. Place on a pizza stone or baking sheet.

Drizzle olive oil over the entire surface of the pizza. Spread minced garlic over olive oil. Lay mozzarella all over the surface. Lay the tomato slices over cheese. Cut the leafy part of the kale away from the stalk, and rip the leaf into small pieces. Rub your hands in olive oil, and rub each leaf so that it gets a light coating of oil. Lay the pieces of kale on the surface of the pizza in the spaces between tomato slices. Sprinkle chevre over all.

Bake 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.

Cut into wedges and serve immediately!

Made a few adjustments based on what we had, but this was seriously the most amazing pizza I’ve had in some time! Didn’t have the fromage du chevre, but we did sprinkle a little parm and romano on the top. Had grape tomatoes from the garden, so just cut those in half and used some great big handfuls of those. Kale from the garden too, which was how I found this recipe, we were overflowing. ;) I was a little worried it would be too oily, because I just put oil in a bowl with my cut spinach and some basil leaves (another addition not called for, but fit in just fine) and I felt I overdid it, but the pizza came out GREAT! Thank you so much for sharing, this will be the pizza I make on pizza night as long as the garden still has kale. =)
