Description

Quite possibly the world’s most perfect Joe.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef Or Turkey
  • 4 ounces, weight Diced Green Chilies
  • ½ teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • ½ Tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Prepared Mustard
  • 1 whole Small Onion, Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Cider Vinegar
  • ½ cups Ketchup
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 8 ounces, weight Tomato Sauce
  • 4 logs Large Hamburger Buns

Preparation

Brown hamburger and onion in a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat until the meat is cooked through and no longer pink. Remove meat from pan and place on a plate lined with paper towels or bags to drain off the excess fat. Once drained, put the meat back into the skillet, turn heat to medium, and add all of the remaining ingredients (except the buns). Stir until combined and let it simmer for at least 5-10 minutes or longer if time permits. Serve on hamburger buns with a slice of cheese.

These were delicious! Unfortunately I didn’t have any diced green chilies, which I was bummed about. But even without them we enjoyed this dish#

This was a delicious and quick dinner. Kids and adults liked! The only missing ingredient was the green chilies (I didn’t have any on hand) and I know it will be even better with them next time. I also grated the onion to minimize the chunks (kids) and worked quite well. Thanks for the yummy recipe!

The sauces was delish! Plus I cooked the meat with another meal earlier in the week so I only had to warm up and add the ingredients. Too easy!!!
