Description

Grilled hamburger with some extra fixins. Stuff kids won’t eat – so don’t tell ‘em it’s in there.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound 93% Lean Hamburger
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 6 whole Mushrooms
  • 2 whole Scallions
  • ¼ whole Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 1 whole Avocado
  • 12 pieces Bacon
  • ½ Tablespoons Butter
  • ½ Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 slices Havarti Cheese
  • 4 whole Hamburger Buns
  • 1 bunch Arrugala Or Baby Spinich
  • Salt And Pepper

Preparation

Chop the garlic, mushrooms, scallions and bell pepper into 1/4 inch pieces. Set aside.

Slice the avocado and set aside.

In a 400 degree oven cook your bacon on a raised rack for about 20 minutes. Put some aluminun foil under the rack to catch all that grease and use it for something else later. When the bacon is done, remove it from the oven and set it aside.

In a skillet add 1/2 tablespoon of butter and 1/2 tablespoon olive oil and heat over medium heat. Add the scallions and bell peppers and cook about 5 minutes or until tender. Add the mushrooms and cook 2 minutes, then add the garlic and cook another 2 minutes.

Let the mixture cool about ten minutes then mix into the hamburger meat. Salt and pepper to taste; then make 4 equal sized patties.

Grill the hamburgers out on the grill until they reach the doneness you prefer and then melt the cheese on top.

Grill your favorite bun or toast them in the oven.

Using whatever condiments you prefer make your burger and then add sliced avocado, arrugala or spinach and 3 pieces of cooked bacon.

Enjoy with your favorite iced beverage and a side of beans or fries or whatever you prefer.
