Description

These wings are both super tasty and easy to make. There are very few ingredients, but it doesn’t take away from the flavour.

Ingredients

  • 3-½ pounds Chicken Wings
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Water
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • ½ cups Mild Soy Sauce
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ½ cups Sugar

Preparation

Cut each of the wings into three pieces, discarding the tip. Place in a large skillet and brown in oil over medium heat.

Once they are browned, add water; cover and steam for 10-15 minutes.

Meanwhile; combine ginger, soy sauce, garlic powder and sugar. After 15 minutes of steaming, pour the sauce over the wings. Turn heat to medium-low and continue to cook for 3/4 of an hour, stirring occasionally, until chicken is tender and sauce is thickened.

These look and sound great! Just one quick question and we’ll be ready to post. At what setting is your heat when you steam the wings (low, medium, high)? And then at what setting do you have them for the last 45 minutes of cooking? If you’ll add this to the instructions, then press ‘make public’ and ‘save’, we’ll get the recipe posted lickety split!
Thanks,
TKNanci

Made this tonight for dinner. Had some wings in the freezer and hubby requested “teriyaki chicken wings”, so off to Tasty Kitchen I went.

A quick search for wings turned up this recipe and I figured I’d give it a try. Everyone loved it. Hubby told me it was a “winner”. I’ll definitely be making this one again.

Thank you for the recipe!
