Description

Healthy and burgers can be in the same meal!!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE BURGERS:
  • 1-½ pound To 2 Pounds Ground Chicken Or Turkey, I Used 5 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast And But Them In The Food Processor To Grind Them Myself
  • ½ cups Crushed Pineapple, You Can Used Fresh And Mash It Up Yourself
  • ½ cups Red Onion, Diced Very Fine
  • ½ cups Cilantro, Diced Fine
  • 3 Tablespoons Teriyaki Sauce (recipe To Follow)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Grated On Micro Plane
  • 1 teaspoon Freshly Grated Ginger

  • FOR THE TERIYAKI SAUCE:
  • ¾ cups Soy Sauce
  • ½ cups Rice Wine Vinegar
  • ¼ cups To 1/2 Cup Depending On Your Taste Of Sugar
  • ¼ cups Crushed Pineapple (optional)
  • 2 cloves Freshly Grated Garlic
  • ½ teaspoons Freshly Grated Ginger

  • FOR THE TERIYAKI MAYO:
  • ½ cups Mayonnaise
  • 3 Tablespoons Teriyaki Sauce
  • _____
  • FOR THE BURGER ASSEMBLY:
  • 6 slices Swiss Cheese
  • 6 whole Buns, Rolls, Or English Muffins, Toasted
  • 6 pieces Romaine Lettuce
  • 1 whole Tomato, Sliced Thin
  • 6 pieces Thinly Sliced Pineapple
  • ¼ cups Thinly Slice Red Onion

Preparation

For the burgers:

Heat oven to 400ºF.

Mix all burger ingredients in a large bowl and form into 6 burgers. Bake on baking sheet for 20 minutes. During the last minute, place Swiss cheese slices on burgers to melt.

For the sauce:

Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil. Then lower heat to medium and let simmer until reduced and thickened.

For the mayo:

Stir mayo and teriyaki sauce together.

Assembly:

Spread mayo mixture on the bottom half of the bun, then place a burger patty, lettuce leaf, tomato, pineapple slice, onion, and top with the top half of the bun. Eat!
