Description

A Minnesota standard potluck dish. Comfort food at its best!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef Or Ground Turkey
  • 1 whole Large Onion, Diced
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 bag (32oz) Frozen Tator-Tots
  • 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Veg-All Or Canned Mixed Vegetables
  • 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) Cream Of Potato Soup
  • 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) Cream Of Celery OR Cream Of Mushroom Soup
  • Salt And Pepper

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Brown ground meat with diced onion. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and Worcestershire sauce to taste. Be sure NOT to skip this step. Your meat needs some flavor.

As meat browns, line the bottom and sides of your cooking vessel with most of the tator-tots. I’ve made this in a large oven safe bowl, 9×13 pan and a 4 quart square bowl. Pack them in tight, reserve 10-15 for the top of the hot dish.

Once meat is brown, add entire can of Veg-All, soups, plus 1 can full of water. Mix, add salt and pepper here too. Stir to combine and then pour this into the lined pan. Top with the remaining tator-tots.

Bake at 350F for 1 hour.

Serve with garlic bread to mop up all the deliciousness!
