Description

Pork chops slow-cooked all day in a tangy tomato sauce. Best served over cooked egg noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 4 whole Bone-in Pork Loin Chops
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • ¼ teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • 1 whole (28 Oz. Can) Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar

Preparation

1. Heat oil in large skillet over med-high heat. Meanwhile, season chops with salt and pepper.

2. Brown chops in skillet, 4-5 minutes per side.Remove from skillet.

3. Reduce heat to medium. Add 1/2 tbsp. oil, if needed, then add garlic and red pepper. Saute until garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute.

4. Add tomato sauce, vinegar, and brown sugar to skillet. Remove from heat.

5. Place chops in crock-pot. Pour sauce over chops. Spread onion on top.

6. Cook on low heat 7-8 hours, until chops are tender. They may fall apart a little, but that’s okay!

7. Serve over egg noodles.

There is no onion in the ingredients list but its in the directions. What kind of onion and how should it cut (diced, minced, chopped, sliced)etc.? Thanks, this sounds good!
