Description

Thick and juicy porkchops stuffed with sweet apples, onion and cheese; then grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Medium Onion, Diced
  • 1 whole Medium Apple, Diced
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • 1 cup Bread Crumbs
  • ¼ cups Shredded Sharp White Shredded Cheese
  • 6 whole Boneless Pork Tenderloin Chops (1 1/2-2 Inches Thick)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt, Or To Taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Or To Taste

Preparation

Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Spray with nonstick cooking spray.

Add the diced onion and saute until tender, about 5 minutes. Add the diced apple and saute until tender, about 3 minutes. Then remove from heat and set aside for the moment.

In a medium sized mixing bowl, melt the butter (you can do this in the microwave, heating for 30 seconds, stirring, then heating for additional 30 second increments if needed). Then add the bread crumbs to the melted butter and toss to coat.

Into the bread crumb mixture, mix in the onion and apple. Add the shredded cheese and mix to thoroughly combine.

Slice the pork chops lengthwise leaving about 1/2 an inch on one side still intact (you are basically making a pocket for the filling mixture).

Stuff pork chops with bread crumb mixture. Secure the pork chops closed using toothpicks.

Spray each side of the pork chops with nonstick cooking spray and season with salt and pepper.

Grill the pork chops (or cook on a skillet) over medium to medium high heat until the juices run clear, about 20-25 minutes.

Remove from the grill and let rest about 5 minutes.

Remove toothpicks.

Serve and enjoy!!
