Description

The glaze is what makes this hearty meatloaf special.

Ingredients

  • FOR LOAF
  • 2 pounds Ground Chuck
  • 1 cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 whole Medium Onion, Finely Diced
  • 1 whole Small Green Bell Pepper, Finely Diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • ¼ cups Ketchup
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
  • _____
  • FOR SAUCE
  • ½ cups Ketchup
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Prepared Yellow Mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 5 drops Cayenne Pepper Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, Or To Taste

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Combine first 10 ingredients. Shape into a loaf and place into an 11″x7″ baking dish. Bake 45 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients, except crushed red pepper. Set aside.

4. Remove meatloaf from oven, coat generously with ketchup mixture, and sprinkle with crushed red pepper.

5. Return to oven and bake 45-50 minutes longer, or until cooked through.

6. Let stand 10-15 minutes before slicing.
