I made this for the first time about 6 months ago. I’ve never been a fan of sweet and sour chicken but this looked too good not to try. It’s been a weekly menu item in my house ever since! My husband even licked the pan the first time I made it! If you haven’t tried this, even if you don’t like S&S chicken, make this! It’s a little labor intensive but SO worth it! It’s outstanding!

This is so good!!! Easy to make – smells like I brought home chinese food, but tastes even better. The whole family (including all 4 kids)loved it.

Hello, I must say, I have never made S&S chix. Sushi,Thai,etc. yes, but this simple dish of my childhood,no. My kids LOVED it as part of a theme night of chinese-y food and kung fu panda. Are the ”chunks” supposed to be big or bite sized?

Every Sunday is now, Sweet and Sour Chicken night at my house. This recipe is SO much better than any resturant I’ve ever had it at. It’s time consuming the first time you make it, but after you get the hang of it, it’s really easy. I serve it over white rice. My husband loves it and even licks the pan afterwards!

This was my first time making anything Chinese, because I had been too intimidated before. But this was easy, quick and most of all, completely delicious! No more Chinese takeout necessary.

This is awesome. Plain and simple. It does take a bit, but its not hard, just more time consuming, but oh so worth it. Best sweet and sour chicken I’ve tried. I do add some green peppers to it(just a personal choice) to add some crunch. I made this for the first time last Friday night. On Saturday when I was making out my menu for the week, I asked my husband if he had any requests, and he quickly said to make this again. It’s a keeper!
