Description

A combination of pasta and chicken salami combined with tomato salsa and mayonnaise to sum up a perfect Sunday.

Ingredients

  • 4 whole Tomatoes, Roughly Chopped
  • 1 whole Onion (cut Roughly)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Paste
  • ⅛ ounces, weight Red Chili Powder
  • 4 cups Pasta (choose Your Favorite Shape)
  • 20 slices Chicken Salami
  • ⅛ ounces, weight Salt
  • 4 Tablespoons Mayonnaise

Preparation

My children love pasta as well as salami. So I wanted to treat them with a combination of both on a beautiful Sunday.

For the tomato salsa:
Combine tomato, onion, ginger, garlic, salt and chili powder in the bowl of your mixer/food processor. Process until it’s chunky, then set aside.

Boil the pasta in water according to package instructions, but do not overcook.

Place the tomato mixture in a pan and cook on medium heat, stirring continuously. After 5 minutes add pasta and cook again for 5 minutes. Please do not over do it. The pasta should retain its shape and the sauce should not dry up.

For the salami:
Cut salami into even slices and lightly cook it in a microwave or skillet over medium heat, just to give it a light brown color. It should not be cooked for more than 2 to 3 minutes on each side.

For the presentation:
Take a flat tray. Arrange the slices of salami in the center in a row. On both sides spread the pasta mixture. Top the salami with a dollop of mayonnaise (you can do this with a piping bag if desired). You can serve extra mayonnaise in a small bowl.
