Description

These burgers take everything that is so great about jalapeno poppers and turn them into a main course!

Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons Cheddar Cheese
  • 4 Tablespoons Cream Cheese
  • 1-½ pound Ground Beef
  • ¼ cups Pickled Jalapeños, Chopped
  • ¼ cups Onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cups Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 4 whole Hamburger Buns
  • Optional Burger Toppings: Lettuce, Tomatoes, You Choose

Preparation

Combine cheddar cheese and cream cheese in a bowl.

Combine ground beef, jalapenos, onion, bread crumbs, and salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Mix together with your hands to combine.

Form 8 thin patties. Evenly divide the cream cheese mixture in dollops on 4 of the patties. Add a patty on top of each one and mold them together to seal well. This is important because you don’t want the yummy cheese dripping out.

Grill over medium high heat for 7 minutes per side. Let the patties stand for 3-4 minutes before biting into them!

Serve on a grilled roll with your favorite toppings.

Made these for dinner last night with ground turkey and pepper jack and they were a hit! I will definitely make them again.

This was delicious! I used a little bit less cream cheese and a little more cheddar to satisfy hubby. It was packed with flavor. Next time I might add a couple strips of crispy bacon to the burger too. Thanks for the great burger idea!

My hubbie MMMM…..MMMMM…MMMMM’d until he finished this delicious burger. I toasted one of my homemade buns, topped it with a little homemade Ranch Dressing and we savored every bite. Since I didn’t have any pickled jalapenos, I opted to substitute some of the frozen chopped fresh jalapenos I keep in the freezer.
