Description

My daughter-in-law made this for us the last time we were visiting, and it has become one of our favorites.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Hamburger
  • 1 whole Onion, Chopped
  • Garlic Salt, to taste
  • 1 quart Tomato Juice ( I Just Use A Large Can, Which Is More Than A Quart, But It Works Great)
  • ½ cans El Paso Sauce
  • 2 cans Tomato Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • ½ cups Water
  • 3 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • Corn Tortillas

Preparation

Brown hamburger and onion. Add the rest of the ingredients (except the tortillas, water and cornstarch) and simmer for 1/2 hour.

Mix together 1/2 cup water and 3 tablespoons cornstarch and stir into sauce until it thickens.

Warm tortillas in the sauce and pile 3 warmed tortillas on a plate with extra suace on top.

Top with grated cheese, tomatoes, onion, lettuce and sour cream, or whatever floats your boat, but these are my favorites.
