Description

This is a recipe that was made for my husband by his grandmother. It is not fancy but quite tasty—a good, comforting, warm sandwich. You can jazz it up with mushrooms and cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) French Onion Soup
  • 1 Tablespoon Flour
  • 4 whole Kaiser Type Rolls

Preparation

Brown meat and drain fat. Add soup to the skillet and reduce the fluid by half, about 20 minutes. Stir in flour to make a thicker gravy and serve hot on rolls.

If you’d like, you can add mushrooms and onions to the ground beef while you saute it. Top your sandwich with cheese for a rich comforting sandwich.

So quick and easy! I made mashed potatoes to go with it and ended up just putting the beef on top of the potatoes and it was delicious. Thank you for sharing!

These are simple and tasty and great for a weeknight meal. I loved them served on a toasted roll and topped with mozzarella cheese.

Rave reviews at our house!!! My kids and husband hate onions, so I secretly blendered the soup up until there were no more chunks and told them it was gravy! They all loved it, which is a rare feat to accomplish in this house! Thanks for the great recipe!
