Cook and drain the frozen chopped spinach. Mix in the cheddar cheese, eggs, milk, and salt. Pour into the pie shell.
Spread sour cream over the top in small amounts. Top with dry bread crumbs.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. (Optional: add 4 to 5 small pats of butter on the last 30 minutes of baking.)
Cool slightly before serving.
