I used only the avocado cream part of this recipe combined with a different fish taco recipe, or I’m sure I would have given it a 5! The avocado cream was a great addition to a very simple fish taco recipe – cool and clean tasting with just enough kick.

very good. all the parts of this recipe really work well together! love the slaw and the avocado cream, a fantastic idea.
i think you either like hot sauce, or you don’t. i would proboably cut back on the hot-ness next time, or at least adjust this to the people at your table (my mom couldn’t eat this but my niece would love it!)

I modified the recipe a bit because the chiles in adobo sauce were way too spicy for me, so used hot sauce instead. Loved the marinade and the southwest slaw that Patio Daddio shared too!

Everything about these tacos are delicious. Don’t miss making the Southwest Slaw… it’s a show stopper. We served them for a party last week they were festive and fun. Thank you John for sharing an amazing recipe!

i used the recipe as a guide and it was fantastic! i swapped out the hot sauce for extra adobo and chopped jalapeno, subbed plain greek yogurt for sour cream in the avocado cream and added a little raw yellow onion to the southwest slaw because onion and cilantro are my favorite on top of tacos – and everything turned out wonderful! thanks!!

This recipe was amazing! I used the tilapia for myself, but made it with chicken at the same time for boyfriend (fish allergies). It was great with both!
I made a few tweaks to the recipe, like using wheat tortillas instead of corn (personal preferance), and blending onion and cilantro into the marinade (left over from the slaw dressing).
Also, I used light mayo in the avocado cream instead of sour cream, but only because I didn’t have the sour cream. I thought it worked well.
All in all, this was a great, easy weeknight dinner. I will definitely make this again.

YUM! My family LOVED this! My hubby has always been suspect of fish tacos (fish isn’t his fave anyway) but he really loved these… I got the please make these regularly look. Very good and pretty simple!

I made these for a family dinner last night and everyone loved them! It was the perfect ending for a hot summer day. I also made your Southwest Slaw to put on the tacos…so yummy! Thanks for the great recipes!
