Description

Meatballs with a little kick.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ pound Spicy Italian Sausage, Casings Removed (I Usually Use Turkey Sausage)
  • 1 pound Ground Turkey Or Ground Beef
  • 1-¼ cup Italian-Style Breadcrumbs
  • ¾ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 whole Large Eggs, Lightly Beaten
  • ¾ cups Minced Onion
  • 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper (optional)
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Pepper
  • Your Favorite Tomato Sauce

Preparation

Combine ground turkey/beef, sausage, bread crumbs, cheese, eggs, onion, garlic, red pepper (if using), salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Blend ingredients with your hands. Form into 2-inch balls and place in a slow cooker. Spoon your favorite tomato sauce over the meatballs to cover.

Cover and cook on low until cooked through, about 4 to 5 hours.
