Preheat oven to 350F. Lay tostadas in a single layer on a baking sheet and cook for 4 minutes, or until warm.
Heat chicken, beans, and tomatoes (separately) until hot. Working in layers, divide each of the ingredients between onto plates, separating each layer with a tostada (see the related blog post for pictures). Start with one tostada, layer on half the chicken and 1/4 of the cheese. Top with another tostada and half of the black beans. Add another tostada and half of the tomatoes. Finally, add the 4th and final tostada, topped with half of the lettuce, avocado, red pepper, and 1/4 of the cheese. Repeat the entire process on the 2nd plate. Top with salsa or taco sauce if you desire. Enjoy!
