Description

Simple, yet flavorful shrimp dish you can make in minutes for dinner, as a hot appetizer or as part of a tapas meal. This dish goes great with yellow rice.

Ingredients

  • ¾ teaspoons Sea Salt
  • 1-½ pound Large Shrimp, Cleaned And De-veined
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Seeds
  • 1-½ teaspoon Paprika
  • 1-½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 8 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 2 whole Lemon, Juiced
  • 4 sprigs Cilantro Or Parsley, Chopped, For Garnish

Preparation

Sprinkle salt on the shrimp and set aside.

In a large fry pan, heat about two tablespoon of olive oil. Add coriander seeds and sauté a few minutes to release the flavor. Add paprika, pepper and garlic and cook until the garlic starts turning golden.

Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for a minute. When the bottom starts to turn pink, turn over the shrimp to cook the other side. If you have more shrimp to fry, removed the cooked shrimp and keep warm and fry the rest.

When all the shrimp are cooked, add back to the fry pan and add lemon juice. Stir gently to coat all the shrimp.

Garnish with cilantro or parsley and serve immediately.

I made it with smoked paprika as well, because it was all I had. It was absolutely delicious. My 1 year old daughter loved it, and she has become a pretty picky eater so if she likes it we will eat it more often!

@wyogal – I was thinking smoked paprika would be nice, too.

@livlife – Thank you so much!

@CK – you HAVE to try it… I think it is right up your alley.

I love making this, simple, yet oh so delish! Yours looks great!
Sometimes, I use smoked paprika, and add some diced Spanish chorizo.

Easy and enjoyable, but missing a little something, I’m not sure what. Maybe smoked paprika would make this a 5 star recipe… If so, I’ll update my review.

This was very easy and fast. As a working mom this will absolutely be a weekly dinner at our house. I used smoked paprika because it was all I had on hand and I think it was delicious! I made it with a yellow minute rice and the whole dinner came together in less than 15 minutes. Definitely will make again!

Very easy and very tasty. Had a little kick to it. We ate ours on top of brown rice with a side of steamed veggies. Thanks!
