Description

Its like lasagna, in pie form, with spaghetti noodles!

Ingredients

  • 1 package Spaghetti, Broken Into 2 Inch Pieces (12-16 Ounce Box)
  • 1-½ pound Hamburger
  • 1 whole Medium Onion, Chopped
  • ¼ cups Green Pepper, Chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Margarine Or Butter
  • ⅓ cups Kraft Parmesan Cheese
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
  • 1 whole Egg Well Beaten
  • 1 jar (14 Oz. Size) Spaghetti Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Dried Oregano
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Salt
  • 8 ounces, weight Cottage Cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese

Preparation

Brown beef with onion and green pepper in large skillet.

Meanwhile, prepare pasta as box recommends.

When pasta is done, set aside. Mix margarine, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and egg until combined. Add to the cooked pasta pieces and stir. Spread on the bottom of a 9×13 pan.

When meat is brown, drain the grease and add to the skillet your jar of spaghetti sauce, sugar, oregano and garlic salt and stir to combine.

To assemble your ‘pie’, spread cottage cheese over the noodle ‘crust’. Next layer in the meat and sauce mixture.

Bake for 30 minutes at 350. Remove from oven and cover with shredded mozzarella. Bake for another 10 minutes.

Serve!

My family and I thought this recipe was delicious! I used Prego Roasted Garlic Parmesan spaghetti sauce and whole wheat pasta. I will definitely make this again!
