Love this recipe! My husband generally hates eating food that requires getting messy (fried chicken, ribs, … that sort of thing), which is okay with me, since it means more for me!
When I made this, he tried one bite (that I pulled off the bone for him) and the next thing I know he has his sleeves rolled up and is tearing apart some chicken on his own plate.
Definitely a winner! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks B2B, this is genuine, tears-to-your-eyes real southern fried chicken. My grandmother is from Georgia and made the best but never passed on her recipe. This is the closest I’ve ever found. Seasoned to perfection!

Very good fried chicken!! Thanks so much for the recipe! The seasoning certainly gives it a flair unlike most fried chicken recipes and I love the slight heat from the hot sauce…YUM-O! Thanks also for providing cooking times for the dark vs. white meat and the tip to ensure it is cooked all the way. I didn’t put mine in the oven because I had a tiny chicken (like 2.5 lbs), but am always scared I’m not going to cook my meats long enough. All in all, a wonderful recipe!

Thank you SO much for sharing your recipe! I’ve never made such great fried chicken by myself! I always mixed the spices in the flour but won’t do that anymore. I loved that it was flavorful in every bite. This is a winner!

I always said if i ever win the lotto, im buying a chicken farm. SO I CAN EAT THEM LOL . Cant wait to try . Looks delicious.

I have only made fried chicken once and it came out terrible. I think I cooked it to long the crunchy coating (just flour and salt and pepper) was hard and dark brown, but I wanted to be sure it was cooked through. I pride myself in the fact I can cook just about anything but I simply cannot fry chicken. The shame is I love it and end up at KFC! Can you help me?

I made this for my boyfriend yesterday and let me tell you it was out of this world awesome!!! He’s allergic to gluten and this is one of his favorite foods that he has got to have for years since he went gluten free so I was scared to death to try and make him fried chicken but I just modified your recipe by using half crushed corn flakes and half gluten free all purpose flour and it turned out so crunchy and juicy and I even took the skin off before seasoning and flouring to save on the fat and calories. Your combination of seasoning is fantastic and the hot sauce adds just a little spice without making it hot. Love love love it!!!!
