Description

Quick and easy pasta dish. Smokey and garlicky and filled with chicken and bacon. The whole family will love it!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1-½ cup Lawry’s Garlic And Herb Marinade (or Italian Dressing)
  • ¼ cups Barbeque Sauce
  • 16 ounces, weight Pasta, Any Short Cut
  • ¼ cups Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Grated
  • ¾ cups Half-and-half
  • ¼ cups Milk
  • ½ Tablespoons Black Pepper
  • ½ cups Parmesan Cheese Plus Additional For Garnish
  • ½ cups Bacon, Cooked And Crumbled

Preparation

In a shallow baking dish cover the chicken with the marinade and BBQ sauce. Bake at 300F for 30 minutes, or until cooked through. Then remove it from the oven and shred chicken.

Meanwhile cook the pasta according to package directions.

In a small saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add in the half and half, milk, pepper, and cheese. Whisk until smooth. Add in the crumbled bacon. Cook for 3-4 minutes.

In a large bowl mix the chicken, pasta and sauce together. To serve top with additional cheese if desired.

This was excellent! The whole family loved it, minus the one kid who hates everything. It took a little longer than 15 minutes to cook but it was very easy. I also used a 12oz box of whole wheat penne pasta and no one noticed that it wasn’t white pasta. Excellent dinner.
