This creamy dish tastes great any night of the week. Serve hot with good bread and a green vegetable.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cook pasta according to package directions.
While pasta is cooking, heat a large pan to medium heat. Place enough olive oil in pan to coat it. Mince garlic and onion. Place them into the pan. Cook for 3-5 minutes.
Add the broth/stock and cream. Bring to a boil, stirring often so that the mixture does not burn. Cook for five minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
Place cooked pasta in a 9 x 13 pan. Pour the cream mixture over the pasta. Place the smoked salmon in dish and stir to coat well. Place dish in the preheated oven.
Cook for 15-20 minutes or until mixture is bubbly. Before serving, mix in the fresh dill.
