Description

Easy, delicious and incredibly tender pulled pork.

Ingredients

  • 2-½ pounds Boneless Pork Shoulder
  • ½ cups Chopped Onion
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 2 cups Ketchup
  • ¼ cups Worcestershire Sauce

Preparation

Cut boneless pork shoulder crosswise into 1/4 inch slices. Partially freezing it will make slicing easier. (I used pork shoulder spare ribs (or something to that effect). They were pre-cut into thick strips which I then cut in half to make fit.)

In the slow cooker, combine pork, onion, garlic, brown sugar, dry mustard, salt, pepper, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce; mix well and cover. Cook on low, stirring occasionally, for 6 to 8 hours or until the meat is tender.

Made this two days ago. Turned out really nice. I also added a can of regular Coca Cola to the mix.

A delicious recipe! I think I didn’t slice it thin enough, so I had to take out the slices & shred them a bit, but it didn’t take long at all. The meat was so tender it just fell apart. Thanks for the easy yummy recipe!

I made this tonight and hubby and I loved it. I did use a store brand bbq sauce instead of ketchup, but still added the other seasons since the store bought stuff can always use a little spicing up. This is definitely a keeper for us.

I made this and it was great! I put it on kaisers with montery jack cheese.

I accidentally added white sugar, but just threw in some brown sugar and it was fine. I also added extra wocestershire. It was delish!

Delicious! I subbed half bbq sauce for the ketchup and loved it! I have made this twice. I have also used the sauce and method to make pulled chicken.

Wow! Finally a tangy, down-home pulled pork recipe! I don’t like ketchup so I substituted BBQ sauce+Vinegar and it’s delicious! The mustard powder adds a nice edge! Can’t wait to serve tomorrow! (I made two 5lb roasts so I had to quadruple the recipe :)
