I thought this was really good – I’d give it 4.5 stars if that was an option! It was just a bit too salty for me and I love salt. I’ll make it again for sure but won’t salt the roast and maybe only use one bullion cube and a low sodium broth. Overall great recipe though!

It was good but the beer ruined it. Thankfully I had left over broth to dump out the au jus and start again. I used Guiness beer, it just tasted awful. Maybe lighter beer is different? But if it tastes anything like beer then no thank you!

This is the most delicious french dip I’ve ever eaten. My husband and kids and in-laws all go nuts for it, too. The first time I made it, my non-meat-eating 3yo had four helpings! We toast our buns with butter and add caramelized onions and provolone cheese (except for me on the cheese). We could eat this every week…and often do!
