Description

Stewed beef in an onion butter sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Chuck Roast 3 1/2 Lbs
  • 1 stick Butter, Melted
  • 1 envelope (1 Oz. Packet) Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • ½ cups Red Wine

Preparation

1. Cut the chuck roast into bite-sized chunks (like stew meat size).

2 Add melted butter, soup mix, and wine to the crock pot and mix all together.

3. Add cut up meat and mix.

4. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until meat is fork tender.

I serve this over egg noodles or rice.

Loved this recipe. It is so easy and I had all the ingredients on hand! Used white wine instead of red. Served over noodles, but rice or even mashed potatoes would work! I may add baby carrots next time. I have already shared this recipe with many of my family members who will love this recipe for their busy lives! TRY THIS RECIPE! Delicious. Thanks for posting!

In case you were wondering, I made it without cutting up the meat, and it was a great pot roast. I loved it and so did my 2 yo and hubby. Definitely a keeper!

Just made this tonight and got rave reviews from everyone in the family. I didn’t have any onion soup mix, but was able to locate a recipe for a homemade version that worked perfectly. This one is definitely a keeper! Thanks so much for sharing. :)

Awesome recipe! I had to tweak it a little ( didnt have any Red Wine so I used Marsala and had to make a quickie homemade onion soup mix). I served it over brown rice and my family licked their plates! Kudos!
