Description

Q: Want to feel productive on a lazy weekend?
A: Slow-Braised Pork Ragu. Oh, you’re welcome.

Ingredients

  • 2-¼ pounds Boneless Pork Leg
  • 14 ounces, fluid No Salt Added Canned Diced Tomatoes
  • 2 whole Red Onions, Peeled And Roughly Chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Peeled And Left Whole
  • 3 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Paprika
  • 1 Tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 2 teaspoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • 1-½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1-½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1-½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1-½ teaspoon Pepper

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 320°F.

2. In an oven-proof roasting dish with a lid, place all ingredients and stir to mix. Cover with lid and bake for 3 hours.

3. Turn the oven up to 430°F. Remove the dish from the oven and shred the pork with 2 forks. When the pork is shredded, stir to incorporate with the sauce evenly. Bake, uncovered, for another 10-15 minutes. Adjust seasoning.
