I finally got around to trying this recipe last night. I really liked it. I added some shrimp, which I sauteed with garlic and EVOO. I also sauteed the green onions for a minute, since I don’t like them raw. The sauce was great and just enough for the pound of pasta I cooked. We had lots of leftovers for lunches, too!
Two tips: be sure you don’t overcook the noodles- they are better with a little bite; I added a tiny splash of lime juice to the sauce to cut some of the oil taste.
Definitely will add this to our rotation of regular dinners.

These were great, I loved the sesame flavor. They would be great made ahead for a lunch, or even served chilled as an Asian noodle salad.

This was excellent. Definitely a keeper. Since my DH is a veggie man, I did add a can of little corn to the strainer then poured the pasta over it. Also, just used 2 T. pasta water in place of reg. hot water.
Thank you for sharing a great recipe.

This has become one of our favorites! I like to serve it with sesame seeds and bbq pork on the side.

Really good–a little oily–but they’re very flavorful and easy to throw together.

These noodles do NOT last long around me. They are super simple to make, and taste fantastic hot or cold. I have tried a few different types of noodles in this recipe, but my favorite is just regular old thin spaghetti, cooked al dente. Yum!

these are extremely popular in our house. I use the brown rice spaghetti noodles from trader joe’s and you honestly can’t taste the difference

We were hoping for a little sweeter sauce like they serve in some of the yummy Japanese restaurants. It wasn’t horrible, just not our thing!

i loved this concept and the recipe smelled amazing! the first time i made it, it was too oily for me–but not enough to keep me from eating it. the second time, i omitted the canola oil completely and LOVED the results–plenty of sesame flavor, which is what i was seeking.

It’s so good! I used sriracha chili sauce and it was just right! Next time I’ll add chicken and some more vegetables.

Loved these! I also added some sesame seeds on top of the green onions. Even my picky kiddos loved them!

I have made these noodles TWICE since your post…. they might become a weekend staple! Tastes just like lo mein, but fresher. YUM … I always eat two bowls of it every time I make it, and then hide the leftovers so I’m the only one who gets them! I don’t add the chile oil either; can’t find it, but don’t really like hot stuff, so it’s ok. And today, the green onions I bought last weekend for the noodles I made last Saturday, (I had two left over) had already limped…. so I didn’t use the green onions this time; still GREAT!

Just made this for lunch. I used angel hair pasta and made the sauce as written. It was easy and excellent! Next time I’ll definitely add some stir fried veggies, maybe chicken.

I made this and it was SUPER easy! It was really really tasty and smells great but it was just a little bit too oily. Maybe less canola oil next time for me? It would be GREAT with some steamed veggies mixed in!

This was good and really easy to throw together but I think I’m going to cut the sugar down to about 2 tsp. instead of the 2 Tbsp. Served it with egg rolls and a side of salad. Delish!

Made this last night for dinner and we LOVED it! Looking at the recipe, now, I think I forgot to add the canola oil. It was still wonderful! My grocery store had something called extra virgin sesame oil and it’s not as strong. I had some pure sesame oil left and used 1 Tbsp. of that, too, so maybe that’s why we didn’t miss it. I took leftovers to work, today, and 4 people asked for the recipe! Thanks!!

yum! this was really, really good. it heated up well the next day, also. i used whole wheat spaghetti with great results. i couldn’t find hot chili oil (in austin.. maybe i was looking on the wrong aisle??) so i used a squirt of sriracha. i think next time i make it i’ll use a little less because it seemed to overpower a bit.

Just made this recipe tonight. I used soba noodles (my favorite!) and added some sauteed chicken and broccoli. It turned out absolutely wonderful! This will for sure be added to my quick dinner list!!
