Description

This is a great way to use up ground beef! It’s more than just your traditional hamburger with a Salisbury Steak flare.

The soup in this recipe works as a great gravy, so fix the Pioneer Woman’s mashed potatoes to go with this! You’ll leave the table with a full stomach!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) Mushroom Soup
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • ⅓ cups Bread Crumbs
  • 1 whole Egg, Beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ¼ cups Chopped Onion
  • 1-½ cup Sliced Mushrooms

Preparation

Mix 1/4 cup of soup, beef, bread crumbs, egg, spices and onion. Shape into 6 firm patties.

Cook patties over medium/high heat until brown. Spoon off fat.

Stir in remaining soup and mushrooms. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

For a little variation, try 1/2 pound of sausage!

Super easy recipe! My kids and my husband all enjoyed it for dinner. I had a little trouble with the steaks falling apart when I browned them, but they tasted just fine. I would definitely make this again!
