Description

Succulent buttery shrimp on a bed of linguini tossed in Parmesan cheese and Italian bread crumbs.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Dry Packaged Linguini
  • 2 pounds Medium To Large, Peeled And Deveined Shrimp
  • 1-½ stick Butter
  • 2  Lemons
  • Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, And Cajun Or Blackened Seasoning (sprinkled Generously According To Taste)
  • 1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • ¼ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • ¼ cups Italian Bread Crumbs
  • 1 dash Dried Basil

Preparation

Cook linguini according to package directions.

Preheat the broiler in your oven.

While pasta is cooking, rinse shrimp and place in a foil-lined broiling pan. Slice one stick of the butter and dot on top of shrimp. Squeeze lemons over the shrimp, and then sprinkle them with salt, garlic, pepper, and your favorite Cajun or blackened seasoning. Broil for 2-3 minutes, and then remove the pan from the oven and stir to distribute the melted butter. Put pan back into the oven and broil just until shrimp are pink.

Drain linguini when done. Once drained put it back in the pot. Toss with olive oil, remaining 1/2 stick of butter, Parmesan cheese, Italian bread crumbs and basil.

Spoon buttery shrimp over linguini.
