Description

Easy shepherd’s pie with go-to ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 6 whole Russet Potatoes
  • 3 cups Frozen Veggies
  • 2 packages Brown Gravy Mix
  • 3 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Divided

Preparation

Brown the ground meat and mix in the brown gravy mix. You can add about 1/2 cup water to the mixture but not enough to make it watery, just thick and wonderful! Then add the veggies and mix together.

Boil and mash the potatoes. Then add 2 cups of the cheddar cheese to the mix.

In a 9×13 pan, pour the ground meat and veggies gravy mixture all into the pan. Then take the potatoes and cover the meat mixture completely. Take the remaining cup of cheddar cheese and sprinkle over the potatoes.

Cook in a 350 degree oven for about a half hour to 45 minutes or until the cheese and potatoes on the top are brown, or until your mouth begins to drool obsessively.

Small suggestion: put a baking sheet under the 9×13 pan because the gravy sometimes tends to boil through the potatoes and it can overflow a little bit.

Enjoy!

I love the simplicity of this. I had a bunch of leftover mashed potatoes, so it was really easy to throw together. Now I always make a large batch when I cook mashed potatoes so that I can make this a couple days later.
