Mmmm, we made this with spinach linguine and it was so yummy! Even my 3 year old liked it! Definitely on my rotation now.

Oh so good and oh so easy! Very light and quick to make. Made a mixture of shrimp and scallops as my beasties don’t care for scallops (oh darn!)
Definitely on the “must make again” list!

I made this with salmon filets instead of scallops, and we loved it! I’m making it again this week…can’t wait! It was quick and easy, but delicious. The best part for me? Learning how to cook the salmon, using the same technique as the scallops. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Made this tonight after a day that was way to chaotic! Used frozen Trader Joe scallops, so I did not get the correct sear (maybe if I had had the foresight to defrost earlier that would have happened). I used more garlic than called for and red pepper flakes. Delicious!!

This was so delicious! I didn’t really get a good sear on the scallops (I’m hoping to do better next time), but my husband loved them. I’m making them again tomorrow. I can’t wait!

My husband and I made this tonight and it went together so quickly and was delicious. I knew we would love it so I doubled the recipe and used scallops and shrimp. I also added a tiny pinch of cayenne pepper just to give the dish a kick. Just a tiny bit. It was perfect. Steamykitchen, I enjoy your column in our local newspaper. You have great recipes.

This is easily one of my favorite recipes. Delicious and oh, so easy! I get rave reviews whenever I make it for company. The instructions in the blog post are very helpful. I had never cooked scallops before and mine turned out beautifully first try. I’ve substituted chicken for the scallops on several occasions and it turns out yummy that way too. We like ours served with a sprinkling of grated parmesan on top. Mmm.

This was super good and really easy. Just keep an eye on the scallops but otherwise, you can’t mess it up. Delish and a perfect Spring/Summer recipe to go with your white wine.

Incredibly delicious and simple. First time ever making scallops and they turned out amazing! Definitely will make this many more times!

This is fantastic – such a basic recipe, and a good one to have in the arsenal for a quick and impressive supper. Make sure the scallops are REALLY dry, as any amount of moisture will prevent you from getting that gorgeous caramelized crust. Also, we used wine this time around since we happened to have white on hand, but it looks like beer has gotten good reviews so we may try that next.

The whole family (including 3 and 5 year olds) loved this. We used spinach fettuccini noodles. Very good!

So good! I just made this tonight. I added a bit more (okay a LOT more) garlic and some finely sliced shallots. Very good and even DH who is not a big scallop fan thought it was fantastic.

I made this following the recipe exactly, but added a couple shakes of red pepper flakes, about half a pound of fresh shrimp, and about 3/4 of a bunch of fresh asparagus, sliced into 1″ sections (added when I added the tomatoes to the pan).
It was so amazing! everyone raved! My hubby had never eaten sea scallops before, and he had thirds!! (I had doubled the recipe)
thanks SO much for a wonderful new addidtion to my ‘standards’!

Fresh scallops were on sale at the grocery store so I decided to try this recipe– I didn’t expect my scallops to turn out as good as pictured, but they did! Beautiful and delicious. Thanks!

This was DELICIOUS. We made shrimp instead of scallops and let it cook for longer. I am making it again tonight!
