Description

Macaroni and cheese is so easy to make homemade. Once you see this you’re going to ask yourself why you’ve been making it out of a box for so long. You may never make it out of a box again! It’s creamy and delicious and the best part is that it’s so versatile! You can add different meats to make it more hearty, or different spices to give it a different flavor. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Pork Sausage
  • 1 pound Elbow Macaroni
  • 1 jar (16 Oz. Size) Ragu Double Cheddar Sauce
  • 1 can (12 Oz. Size) Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1-½ cup Water
  • ¼ cups Stick Butter, Cubed
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheese, divided
  • Your Choice Of Spices, Such As Onion Powder, Paprika, Salt, And Pepper, To Taste (optional)

Preparation

Heat your oven to 350ºF. Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Once browned, drain off the grease. Set sausage aside.

In a sprayed 9″x 13″ pan, combine the uncooked macaroni, Ragu cheese sauce, cheese soup, milk, water, butter (cubed), 1 cup of the shredded cheese and the well drained sausage. Add any other desired spices such as onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Mix gently until well combined. Place in oven for 40 minutes.

Pull pan out of the oven and top with remaining shredded cheese. Put back into the oven for additional 20 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted and browned.

Serves 4 to 6.
