Description

I have finally perfected my husband’s favorite food! Round steak smothered in a rich and creamy mushroom gravy alongside mashed potatoes. You will love this easy recipe for that package of round steak you have left in the freezer!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Seasoning Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Onion Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Red Pepper
  • ¼ teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
  • 6 pieces Tenderized Round Steak
  • ½ cups Or More Of Frying Oil
  • 1 can (10 Oz. Size) Cream Of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 can Golden Mushroom Soup, 10 Ounce Can
  • ½ cans Water
  • ½ cans Milk
  • Optional For Serving: Prepared Mashed Potatoes

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium high heat.

Mix the flour and seasonings together in a shallow bowl. Flour the round steak pieces on both sides. Place the steak into the hot oil and brown on both sides (you’re going to cook it more, so you simply need to brown it). Place round steak pieces in a 9X13 inch glass baking dish.

Mix the two cans of soup, water, and milk together and pour evenly over steak. Place aluminum foil over baking dish and bake for 1 hour or until pieces of steak are fully cooked in the middle.

Meanwhile, whip up some mashed potatoes and serve the extra gravy over a serving of rich, creamy mashed potatoes.

Very tasty! I added mushrooms and cooked it in the crockpot. Kids love it.
