Description

There’s no reason to save the cranberries for the turkey. Try this tender pork dish.

Ingredients

  • Salt And Pepper
  • 1 pound Boneless Pork Chops
  • ¾ cups Onion, Sliced
  • ¼ cups Cranberries, Fresh
  • 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 whole Pear, Sliced
  • ½ cups Apple Cider Or Apple Juice

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Salt and pepper boneless pork chops on both sides.

Spray an oven safe skillet with cooking spray and place on medium heat. Brown pork chops on all sides. Set pork aside on a plate.

In the same skillet, add onions and stir until tender, about 3 to 5 minutes. Add cranberries and brown sugar. Stir and cook for about 30 seconds.

Add your pork back into the skillet and add the pears and apple cider. Turn the pork over so that both sides are coated with the sauce.

Place the skillet in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.

Let the pork cool for about 4 minutes so the juices run back in and serve with the pear and cranberry sauce from the pan. I served the whole skillet at the table.

Makes four 4 oz. servings.
