Description

This dish is a family favorite. Even little kids will eat this up. Yummy!

Ingredients

  • 1-½ pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts, Cooked And Shredded
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 1 can (10 Oz. Size) Cream Of Chicken Soup
  • 2 cups Sour Cream
  • 1-½ cup Shredded Swiss Cheese
  • 2 cups Ritz Crackers, Crushed
  • 5 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • 1 Tablespoon Poppy Seeds
  • Rice, To Serve

Preparation

Pat both sides of the chicken breasts, salt and pepper each side and bake in the oven till the juices run clear, 350ºF for about 30 minutes. The chicken will also continue to bake in the oven with the rest of the ingredients later.

Mix cream of chicken soup and sour cream together. Pour over shredded, cooked chicken and mix that up. Pour it in to a 9×13 inch greased baking dish and sprinkle the top with the shredded cheese.

In another bowl mix the crushed crackers with the melted butter and poppy seeds and spread on top. Bake at 350ºF for 25–30 minutes. Serve over rice.

Sounds very good! Bet it would also be good served over mashed potatoes or noodles. Will try this soon!

High in flavor, easy, and came out exactly as the recipe stated. However we found this to be a very heavy dish, especially when served over rice. But considering the ingredients, I do suppose it should be. Definitely a comfort food, but I would likely serve this over/with veggies instead, or try to lighten this up.

This was a big hit at my house! My hubby admitted he wasn’t too sure about it at first, but after eating it, he requests this at least once a week. SO yummy! Definitely going in my recipe rotation. Thanks for sharing!
