Died and gone to heaven. Sooooo good. Tried recipe about two weeks ago and have already made this dish twice. This is now a staple in my household. Easy access to ingredients, easy to prepare, and soo tasty. Thank you so much for the recipe!

This was delicious and super easy to make! My grocery store was out of pancetta, so I used smoked ham. I also used penne pasta. I don’t know if I missed a lot by not using pancetta, but the recipe turned out awesome anyway. Very easy to put together. The recipe feeds four adults without ANY leftovers – next time I am going to double it and freeze some!

I made this for dinner last night. I never ever thought I could cook a pasta dish worthy of a fine Italian restaurant, but I just did!! This dish was A-MAZE-ING!! My kids gobbled it up and asked for seconds!! Thank you so much for another great staple to our family meals!!

Sounds wonderful and I like the fact it has such a small amount of Pancetta in it.

What type of pasta did you use for this recipe??? It appears to be a triangular shape. Currently I am into trying out new and different pastas, and can’t say that I’ve ever seen the one you used before.

Me again…is the pasta you used in the recipe trenne or trennette?

I made this tonight and we really enjoyed it. Thanks, this is a great recipe.
Unlike yardsailor I thought the pancetta was very ample. My large amount is your small amount.
Back to the Pasta Vecchia Napoli.
I was unable to find the trenne pasta so I used Rigatoni which worked out well.
But I did find the Pecorino cheese. The cheese man at the grocery said that Pecorino is the same as Romano. Is that true? I bought the Pecorino and really enjoyed it.
I rated your recipe a five Mitt.

I tried this last night. It was tasty, but for some reason, didn’t look anything like the photo. My sauce was more pink (lighter) than pictured. Also, it didn’t stick to the pasta. I used a dried papparedelle pasta (wide egg noodle) and the sauce just sat on the bottom of the plate.
I would suggest a more descriptive write-up on the exact cooking time of the sauce and how thin or thick it should be. Following the directions exactly didn’t do it for me.

Omg, this looks soooo good, and pretty easy to make!! Thanks for helping me figure out tomorrow’s dinner! (My stomach is telling me it wants it now though!)
