Description

These baked chicken tenders are healthier and less messy to make than their fried counterparts, and are every bit as delicious. Great as a quick dinner or for kids!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cups Flour
  • 1 whole Egg
  • ⅓ cups Breadcrumbs
  • ⅓ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 1-½ pound Chicken Tenders
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

Preparation

Preheat oven to 450ºF. Place flour in one bowl, whisked egg in one bowl, and mix breadcrumbs and Parmesan in a third bowl. If the breadcrumbs are unseasoned, add salt and pepper and dried herbs if you wish.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Dip chicken tenders one at a time in the flour, egg, then breadcrumb mixture, making sure to let most of the egg drip off before putting it in the breadcrumbs. Place the tenders one at a time on the baking sheet. When they are all ready, drizzle with olive oil, and place in the oven for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

My kids loved these! I was never able to find a recipe that they liked as much as those disgusting deep fried chicken fingers in restaurants, but even they agreed that these are way better than those! I put them on a rack on a baking sheet so the bottoms would stay crispy and it worked great. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!
