Description

Chicken strips coated in a spicy Panko mix and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 4 whole Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts, Cut Into Tenders
  • 1 cup Light Buttermilk
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • ½ teaspoons Chili Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Paprika
  • ½ teaspoons Red Pepper
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder

Preparation

Place chicken in buttermilk and allow chicken to sit for at least 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs and seasonings. Dip each chicken strip into breadcrumbs. Place each chicken strip into a baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Spray tops of chicken strips with cooking spray. Bake for 20 -30 minutes, or until cooked through.

I’ve been searching the database here for easy chicken recipes that are low in salt that suit my finicky tastes. This looks great! I can’t wait to try it. Low salt diet is no fun :-(

This is a nice basic recipe.
I didn’t use the chili powder or red pepper because I knew my son would say it was to spicy. I did use onion powder and salt. I cut my chicken breasts into 3 strips each and baked them for about 27 min. and they came out perfectly done… still moist and tasty. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
