Description

The first time I made this my 6 year old son asked if I could make this every single night from now on. I’m not a seafood lover and I think this is wonderful!

Ingredients

  • ¼ teaspoons Onion Salt
  • ⅛ teaspoons Pepper
  • ½ cups Italian Bread Crumbs (or Panko)
  • 2 whole Egg Whites, Beaten
  • 16 ounces, weight Cod (or Other Fish Of Your Choice - I Used Dover Sole)
  • 3 Tablespoons Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • ¼ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese

Preparation

Preheat oven to 450°F. Mix onion salt, pepper and bread crumbs in a shallow dish.

Beat egg whites with 2 Tbsp water. Dredge fish fillets in flour then dip in egg whites, then into bread crumb mixture.

Place in a baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.

Drizzle with melted butter and top with Parmesan cheese.

Bake for 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork.

This was tasty! I used garlic powder and some salt in place of onion salt. Also, I topped the fish with a mixture of Parmesan and Romano flakes. Nice easy way to make fish. Will definitely make again, thanks!

I made this a few weekends ago with Trout, it was supper yummy! I substituted chunks of fresh tomatillo for the bellpeppers (my husband hates them) and it came out great! Would definitly make again.

Yum! I just made this with tilapia fillets. It turned out delicious. The only change was I used garlic salt instead of onion salt, just b/c I didn’t have any onion salt here. Delicious!

We loved this!  I used 6 tilapia filets.  Instead of using onion salt, I used Cajun seasoning or Spike season salt on the filets before coating them with flour, egg mixture and Italian bread crumbs.  I also used 2 whole eggs, instead of using only the whites.  The fish was crispy and full of flavor.  We will be adding this recipe to our family meal rotation. Thanks you!
