Description

These Sloppy Joe Melts are a sure to please with everyone sitting at your table. A nice green salad on the side and you have a great dinner before your eyes. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
  • 3 stalks Celery, Sliced
  • 1 whole Small Onion, Chopped
  • 1 whole Green Pepper, Chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • 1 cup Water
  • ¼ cups Ketchup
  • ¼ cups Heinz Chili Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Dried Parsley Flakes
  • 2 teaspoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard Powder
  • ¾ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
  • ½ teaspoons Paprika
  • ½ teaspoons Chili Powder
  • 1 can (5.5 Oz) Tomato Paste
  • 6 Hamburger Buns
  • Cheddar Cheese ( Sliced Or Grated)

Preparation

In a large saucepan, cook the beef, celery, onion, green pepper and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain grease if needed. Stir in next 13 ingredients (which is everything else on the above list, except the buns and the cheese). Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour.

Cut hamburger buns in half and place on baking pan. Spoon mixture onto bun halves and cover with cheddar cheese. Put in oven and broil until cheese is melted and buns are nicely toasted. Serve and Enjoy!
