Description

This is the best sandwich: easy, quick and delicious! Serve it to your family for a weekend lunch. Or, when entertaining, make a couple to serve with a fruit salad.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Hawaiian Bread
  • 6 slices Provolone Cheese
  • 1 container (about 7 Oz. Container) Refrigerated Pesto
  • ¼ pounds Shaved Turkey Breast
  • ¼ pounds Shaved Ham
  • 6 slices Provolone Cheese

Preparation

Preheat oven to 450ºF.

Slice a Hawaiian bread loaf in half horizontally. Liberally spread pesto over both sides of the bread.

On the bottom half of the bread, arrange turkey and ham. Cover with slices of provolone.

Place the top of the bread back on the sandwich. Tightly wrap the sandwich in aluminum foil. Place in the oven directly on the rack.

Cooking time will vary. For the center of the sandwich to be warm with melted cheese, allow 20–25 minutes.

I had been wanting to try the Hawwaiian bread I had been seeing in the store, so when I saw this recipe I had to try it. I already knew I loved all the other ingredients. It tasted good… however….

THE BOTTOMS BURNED! Think either the 450* or the 20 minutes needs to be reduced.

I am making this for the second time this month. My son just asked me how much time is left on the timer. Thanks for the recipe.
