Description

I grew up having my mom’s classic meatloaf so often as a simple, amazing dinner. I still make it to carry it on and am so excited to share the recipe!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE MEATLOAF:
  • 2 pounds Ground Beef
  • ⅔ cups Seasoned Breadcrumbs
  • 1 package (1 Oz. Size) Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 pinch Garlic Powder
  • Salt And Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
  • FOR THE GLAZE:
  • ¼ cups HP Sauce Or Ketchup
  • 3 Tablespoons Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Mustard
  • ¼ teaspoons Nutmeg

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF and line a sheet tray with aluminum foil. Get out a loaf pan.

Combine beef, breadcrumbs, onion soup mix, eggs, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a bowl and use your clean hands to thoroughly mix it together. Press the mixture firmly into the loaf pan and put the full loaf pan on the sheet tray.

In another bowl, mix the HP sauce or ketchup, brown sugar, ground mustard and nutmeg together into a thick glaze. Spread the glaze evenly over the meatloaf and bake it for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. An hour gets it to just slightly pink in the center. If you would prefer well done, let it go for an extra 15–20 minutes. Let it cool slightly, then serve immediately!
