Description

A smaller version of the Big Mac. The special sauce is spot on!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SPECIAL SAUCE:
  • ½ cups Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tablespoons Creamy French Dressing
  • 3 Tablespoons Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Finely Minced White Onion
  • 1 teaspoon White Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • ⅛ teaspoons Salt
  • _____
  • FOR THE BURGERS:
  • 2 whole Green Onions, White And Green Parts
  • 1-½ pound Ground Chuck
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 12 whole Slider Buns
  • 6 slices Colby Jack Cheese, Halved
  • 12 slices Pickles, Large
  • 1 cup Iceberg Lettuce, Sliced Ultra Thin

Preparation

For the sauce: Simply combine all the ingredients, refrigerate until ready to use!

For the burgers: Slice the green onions thin then roughly chop. Combine the ground chuck with the green onions, salt, pepper and olive oil. Mix by hand until just combined, then form 12 mini burgers. Place on a preheated grill pan over medium high heat (adjust if you need to while the burgers cook), cook 3-5 minutes per side or until cook through. Flip and repeat. You can place the finished burgers on a plate and cover with foil to keep warm while finishing the other burgers. Toast buns if desired then top the bottom bun with a slider, cheese, pickle, lettuce, sauce, then top with the top half of the bun.

You can also use hot dog buns cut in half or thirds depending on the size of hamburger!

Sliders are just cute, little mini-hamburger buns :)

That looks excellent! Stupid question from the other side of the ocean – what’s a slider bun? Don’t think we have anything called that here…

Both hubby and I thought the sauce was good, but wasn’t quite the same as the original Big Mac sauce. This was definately a nice switch to regular ol’ hamburgers and we will be making it again. Thanks for sharing!
