Description

A pasta dish with taco seasoning and gooey cheese.

Ingredients

  • 7 ounces, fluid Penne Pasta
  • ½ pounds Ground Beef
  • 1 Tablespoon Taco Seasoning
  • 2 ounces, fluid Cream Cheese
  • ½ cups Salsa
  • ¼ cups Taco Sauce
  • ¼ cups Colby Jack Cheese
  • ¾ cups Cheddar Cheese
  • ¼ cups Sour Cream, To Serve

Preparation

Cook the penne in salted water until almost done, about 8-12 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

Brown the ground beef in a skillet, drain, and return to the skillet. Mix in the taco seasoning, then add the cream cheese. Continue to stir until melted and creamy. Add the beef mixture into the pasta and mix together.

Pour the salsa into the bottom of a 9″ round baking pan and move around until it is evenly coated. Pour the pasta mixture on top. You can choose to mix it together or not, it doesn’t matter. Pour the taco sauce over the top and then finish it off the cheeses.

Bake at 350ºF for 15 minutes. Since all the ingredients are already cooked, the point is to it heat through and melt the cheeses. Serve with sour cream.

This was great and my family loved it. I added a can of black beans to the pasta, and only used cheddar cheese because that’s all I had in the house. It was a big hit and I’ll definitely be making this again. Thanks for the great recipe.

Very easy and very good. I thinned out a little extra taco sauce to mix into the pasta and little more salsa. My 10 year old couldn’t get enough! Thanks for sharing.
