The nice thing about making your own curry paste is that like anything homemade, not only is it far fresher than anything store-bought, but it is also completely customizable. This really makes a difference when it comes to heat level. I consider this recipe as written to be about a “medium” heat level. For “mild” omit the jalapenos, and for “hot” use 3 jalapenos and add 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper (or to taste).

Quite possibly one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. Imagine if you will, plunging your spoon through a crispy layer of caramelized sugar to expose a silky layer of frozen creme brulee ice cream beneath. Oh yea baby, this recipe is worth every single calorie-laden bite. Break out the kitchen torch! Your family and friends are going to flip over this one.

Mexican “Flatbread” Pizza

Recipe Description

Another “16-Minute Meal” in my arsenal. Use this approach to use up leftovers in your fridge!

Preparation Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Flour work surface and roll out each biscuit until very flat. Brush very lightly with olive oil. Bake for 8 minutes, or until starting to turn golden. Remove from oven and set aside.

Mix refried beans with salsa. Heat on stovetop.

Heat up leftover ground beef.

To assemble, spread refried beans over each flatbread. Top with plenty of beef. Sprinkle shredded cheddar over the top. Return to oven for three minutes, or until melted and bubbly. Top with plenty of pico de gallo and lettuce.

Mix together salsa and sour cream. Drizzle over the top of each pizza. Garnish with cilantro. Cut into wedges and serve immediately.

Ingredients

1 can Large Biscuits (non Flaky) (8 Biscuits Per Can)
1 whole Can (14.5 Ounce) Refried Beans
3 Tablespoons Salsa Or Picante Sauce
1-½ cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
Pico De Gallo
2 cups Browned Hamburger Meat, Seasoned
Shredded Iceberg Lettuce
3 Tablespoons Salsa
5 Tablespoons Sour Cream
Cilantro For Garnish

I just made this for dinner and its so amazing. My fiance better hurry up and get home for dinner before I eat the entire 8 servings.
Instead of canned biscuits, I made my own crust using the biscuit recipe on the Bisquick box. I decided to this because I’m scared of the ingredients that I can’t pronounce in canned biscuits.
This little number will definitely be in our dinner lineup going forward.

I made this for dinner tonight and everyone gobbled it up. My girls who don’t usually eat biscuits ate this right up. I used the Simply biscuits by Pillsbury. I had to use two biscuits for each pizza, but that worked just fine.

We will definitely make this again.

This is one our favorites! In fact, I’ve cooked dinner a few times recently for some friends who just had babies, and this was the perfect dish to drop off for them. It was easy to make and tasty too – they loved it!

I wasn’t awfuly hungry the night I made these but I wanted to make something nice for my hubby so I decided these were easy to whip up… they were so easy to make and they were wonderful! I ended up eating 3 and I wasn’t even hungry! The only things I changed was I used ground turkey because it was what I had thawed and I used spicy refried beans so I didn’t add extra hot sauce to thouse. All in all these we so yummy, my husband wants me to make them again tonight!

yum! i used the recipe as a guide and just threw on whatever i had on hand. super simple, fast and lots of room to be creative. i used pillsbury pizza dough and it came out perfect. great way to clear out the fridge
